(July 28, 2018, 1:58 pm)Hi All, we visited a good friend who has a trailer site here. The lake was created behind the Dickson Dam a hydroelectric project site about 30 years ago. Nice lake, rather deep right away from shore; the beaches are just as rocky as they are sandy. There is a great hiking and biking trail around the entire lake. The recreation areas are very well maintained. Most of the recreation areas are privately owned; the few open camping spots have toilet facilities but not showers and there are no power hook ups. Better for day trips than longer stays. However, it is Alberta,so it is beautiful. Enjoy.
