Just recently finished my CHPL with MVH, I must say an amazing experience. The instructors come from different fields of expertise offering insight into various fields in the industry, excellent patience, and very willing to help get you through the course and help you succeed, obviously with your own input of effort. The quality of flight training, in my opinion, is quite respectable in the sense of guiding the student to adhering to the proper procedures, I for one enjoyed my time quite a bit throughout the course. Is an amazing feeling to be started on the path I want, and i owe that to the training I received at MVH.

I started my training at MVH in September 2017. Without a doubt it was some of the best and most challenging experiences of my life. All the instructors come from different backgrounds and really come together to create a great atmosphere and well rounded training experience. I obtained my commercial licence and finished my endorsements in January and five days later I landed a job with a helicopter company. MVH has great relationships with other helicopter companies and they work hard to help land you a job. I always loved talking with the different people that worked there and they were able to answer any questions I had. It’s scary paying a large sum of money and taking a chance on a career that is very tough to get a foothold in but Mountain view helicopters is a awesome place to help you get started in this industry. Thanks MVH for helping get my start.

Coming from a family in the helicopter industry, being a pilot was something I've always wanted to do. And after years of consulting many established professionals in the industry, and having obtained my full commercial license this month, I can safely say that if you're thinking about getting your helicopter pilots license, Mountian View Helicopters is the place to do it.

The instructors are top notch; very professional, easy to get along with and each one has an abundance of knowledge and experience that they are more than happy to pass on to those of us who are new and unfamiliar to the helicopter industry.

The location of Springbank Airport, located just west of Calgary, is an ideal location for training. The varying weather and incredible diversity in landscape not only makes for some beautiful training experiences, but also gives a wide array of flying conditions that other schools located in more prairie regions simply cannot match. And you will be thankful you had trained with an instructor during some of the weather changes, so that you're not caught off guard if it happens when you're flying on your own on a job.

The helicopter industry is a tough and competitive one. Training is going to be expensive, and finding jobs as a low time pilot is largely seasonal and often difficult to obtain. The staff of MVH will make it clear during your training that your personality and willingness to succeed are going to be the make-it or break-it factor of your career in this industry. Having said this, I have had a lot of experience talking with graduated pilots, and sought advice from varying amount of employers who hire pilots, and the one thing they would agree on is that having a Mountain View Helicopters sticker on your license was invaluable to those starting out.

MVH has many opportunities for entry level pilots. During the summers they'll select a handful of students for their tours in Drumheller, which can build up a good amount of hours for low timers. Also as MVH is well respected, employers will often ask Mountian View directly for new pilots, as they know the quality of training their students will possess is beyond the regulated base level. The standard of training MVH holds themselves, and their students to, is far beyond what you'll get from most schools. Many MVH graduates manage to find a job, and succeed in the helicopter industry. This is, once again, down to a factor of your own determination, but if you apply yourself, being a graduate from this school can definitely take you places

Mountain View Helicopters was a great place for me to get my commercial pilot license.
The training, people, and atmosphere supported an environment ideal for learning to fly and work around helicopters safely.

The training I received at Mountain View was Challenging, Rewarding and incredibly Fun. Every flight I learned something new and could improve on exercises already learned. My primary instructor, Dan, helped me build a solid foundation of basic skills and throughout the course taught me to focus on flying with precision and safety always in mind.
Getting to fly with the different instructors added to the reward and challenge of the course. Every instructor offered a unique way of flying.
As a student I was able to learn something from each of them, this greatly improved my flying, and encouraged me to strive to be a better pilot.

The people at Mountain View clearly love their work. The instructors, and staff were always engaged and ready to teach, from inspecting helicopters in the morning,
to washing and parking them late in the afternoon, they were always ready to drop whatever they were doing to answer questions or talk. No matter how many things Stuart had going on, he never hesitated to help me out, even if just meant printing off papers for me.
I hope that someday in my future career I can work with a group of people like the ones at MVH.

My time at Mountain View was more than just time spent at school. Being around helicopters all day, the long hours, hard work, the late lunch break, and the amazing experience of flying,
all made me feel less like a student and more like a future pilot.
I'm very thankful for the training I received at MVH, and am proud to call myself a graduated Mountain View Helicopter pilot.
