(October 6, 2018, 3:41 am)Went to Wessex late summer for training my new dog for upland. Very good set up with options for controlled training. Grass plots, hedge rows, grassy fields. Excellent day with the dog. Took him back early October after the snow in the tangled corn and had a very good day working him. Great people and good land to work a dog.

(September 2, 2018, 9:32 pm)I went to Wessex with 3 others, for all of whom it was the first time going. Only one in the group had gone for game bird in recent years. Our guide, Rick, was informative, polite and very helpful. We managed to flush out almost all our pheasants and had a great time in the process. I thoroughly recommend Wessex. The dogs also appeared expertly trained. Though I don't have a dog I am looking to train, it appears they provide an excellent training regime for dogs as well, which I also understand to be part of their business.
