Shawnessy Smiles Dental

Everyone was friendly. Dr. Roman was very warm and put me at ease. The hygienist had a gentle touch. I have a sensitive mouth. The last couple of times I had been to the dentist were very painful, this was absolutely pleasant in comparison. Easily the best visit I can remember having at the dentist.

My husband and I have been customers for 6+ years, ever since we moved to Calgary. I am very grateful to a family who recommended his practice. I have pretty severe dental work anxiety and Dr.Roman has been the only dentist that I have ever enjoyed visiting (I am in mid forties).I trust him. He has never hurt me, he says right off the bat, “you are the boss.” He is warm, respectful and compassionate about my fears, as is Nicole. They are truly kind. When they work on you, they take time to explain what to expect-which helps immensely when you are fearful. And they are fast and efficient. Becka, in reception is warm, helpful and professional, she always finds a way to get you in when you have a need and Amanda who I see for dental hygiene is also wonderful. We almost moved to BC a few years ago and when we made a list of pros and cons for the move, Shawnessy Smiles was on the list as a ‘con’ to moving because as a team they have made dental visits easier for me and I was afraid of not finding anyone as great as them in a new place.

Mr.Roman is one best dentist I have ever met.The whole Shawnessy smile team is very helpful and professional.Coming from UK I have been to dentists in Britain, Spain and Germany and Shawnessy smiles is best.

My family and myself have been registered with Shawnessy Smiles since 2013. From our very first visit at the office, we were made to feel welcome and comfortable both by the friendly competence of the staff and the pleasant environment of the office itself. We are very pleased with the high level of professionalism and courtesy from Dr. Roman Koutsil, his assistant Nicole, Amanda the dental hygienist and Becky the receptionist. They take time to explain every procedure and are very supportive and thorough. My daughter can't wait to have her first braces fitted by Shawnessy Smiles.
