The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - South Pointe

The Keg on 130th ave is the best! Everytime we go, they do not disappoint! Thank you Mike the manager there for our complimentary champagne to celebrate our wedding weekend and Dave for the great service!

Adequately good.
The food is good, and beef is cooked correctly to order. Staff are friendly, accommodating, and friendly.

Not the greatest value, nor is it poor value.
Just a solid choice if you just want a properly cooked steak instead of the overcooked cheap meat you tend to get at places like BP's, Earl's, or similar establishments.

The Keg (@ South Pointe) has been a fairly consistent experience with decent food and excellent service. Our latest visit was made great thanks to our server who made our night comfortable and hospitable. The food was befitting of the reputation of The Keg franchises which is geared to affordable pricing. We started our night with the tuna tartare appetizer which came with Wonton chips ($16); this is one of our favourite choices on the menu! The mains consisted of an 12 oz. pepper NY Strip-loin ($38) and an 8 oz. Sirloin with a 1/2 Lobster (A $52 pricey Surf and Turf!). The steaks were prepared well but the cuts themselves could have been better as well as the portion particularly for the Surf and Turf, mainly due to the price-point. The Lobster was well-cooked and a succulent compliment to the dish. We decided on a recommended bottle of J. Lohr 7 Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon which made an appropriate duet with the meal. Overall, The Keg (@ Southpointe) was exactly what we had in mind as the environment was less busy late evening.

Visited here to celebrate a 'significant' birthday with a group of 15. Our service was extremely good with the staff members all very friendly.
The quality of the meals and presentation was excellent, no empty plates at the end.
