Select Auto Sales

After searching over a year for a vehicle to replace my 2002 Highlander, I found what I was looking for at Select Auto. We initially had some trepidation buying from a 'used car dealership' but Wally defies the stereotype - his showroom and vehicles are immaculate, he is a delight to work with, and I drove away extremely satisfied with my new (old) Highlander.

All went well for a few weeks, including a couple of road trips, but then we noticed a very small amount of fluid apparently leaking from the front end. Rather than bother Wally, I booked an appointment with a local Toyota dealership, expecting the repair would amount to nothing more than a minor tweak. I was shocked when they handed me an estimate of over $5,000. for repairs, as I knew Wally had the vehicle inspected by a qualified mechanic before the sale.

I called Wally and explained the situation, and he immediately offered to have his inspector take another look; he also assured me he will not sell a vehicle that has any mechanical issues and would take care of any problem that might have existed before my purchase.

After a second inspection (done at no cost to me), and with video evidence provided, I was assured that the repairs I had been quoted on were not necessary. Really Toyota??!! Since that time, whatever was leaking has resolved itself, so it was indeed a minor issue.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Select Auto and Wally Poirier if you are in the market for a top quality pre-owned vehicle. The "Big Guys' could take a page from his book, and go the extra mile for their customers - it was such a pleasure to be offered an appropriate remedy without having to fight for it! We will definitely come back the next time we're in the market for a vehicle.
