  Awesome staff and good selection. This is the only place in calgary I will shop at for fly fishing gear and tying supplies. I highly recommend it

  Without a doubt the best fly shop in Calgary. After shopping all over for a spey rod, Cabela's had one rod, another Fly Shop answered the phone "yah" and countless others left me feeling bewildered, uneducated or overwhelmed. and when you're spending this much money on a new setup you want it to be perfect. The person that helped me on Friday afternoon September 21 2018 was a true professional. Sadly since I've been planning on buying a spey rod for about 5 years I was too excited to ask their name. I was pointed in the right direction at every turn and walked away feeling like I had purchased the rod that I was looking for, and that after my visit to out fly fishing, I was more likely to catch the salmon and steelhead I would be chasing. As a 25 + year single-handed Atlantic salmon fishermen from Newfoundland I knew nothing about spey rods other than what I had read on the internet. But now I feel like I'm heading in the right direction. Thanks to out fly fishing, a true fly shop

  Fantastic customer service and experience overall.
  I've been here several times and Greg has helped me find exactly what I needed, plus he showed me how to tie a type of knot I was unfamiliar with. Super friendly atmosphere. I also come here for tips on what kind of flies might be effective for a particular period of time, and once again, never leave disappointed!
  
  PS: I read some of the older negative reviews here before going in, and I seriously can't understand how someone could rate it that low....but then again, people go on amazon and give 1 star ratings to things they mis-order out of their own mistake :| .
  I'd say don't mind that and give it a go if you're in the area or looking for some friendly advice!
