The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Macleod Trail

made a reservation last night for my wife and I to celebrate her birthday and indicated this on the online reservation form. Even the lady who ushered us in asked us if it was a special occasion. Both food and service were excellent. However server did not do anything about my wife's birthday and what was especially galling was both tables on either side of us were celebrating birthdays and got a piece of cake with a sprinkler while we did not.

We had an amazing experience here tonight (Oct. 19th). I had never been to a Keg before and now I cannot wait to go back. The appetizers were AMAZING, and the main course was probably one of the best meals I’ve ever had, I had ribs and my boyfriend had the baseball sirloin which was equally as good. The service is what really put the whole experience over the top, our server was super friendly and after hearing it was my first visit to the Keg the manager gave us a complimentary dessert!! It was really busy but the service was top notch. So glad we made the last minute decision to go here tonight, you will not be disappointed!!!

Hoowhee it was busy that night! We had the choice between a 2 hour wait for a table in the dining room or a booth in the bar. We took the booth. Food was great, waiter checked in but didn't hover. I had salmon. Cooked perfectly.

Start to finish, I’m amazed at the experience I had at this location. The hostess who walked us to our table was energetic, professional and kept conversation flowing in a non invasive way. (Not easy to do btw). Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and had an infectiously positive attitude. We ordered 4 appetizers then we were approached by the kitchen manager who informed us they did not had a specific ingredient in the kitchen as they had ran out. We were initially kinda bummed as it was the dish we came here for but the kitchen manager (Jason) was amazing! He offered us a complimentary meal to apologize for the inconvenience. And he was insanely kind and professional. I work in fine dining and I do a lot of hiring... let’s just say people that offer that level of service to customers are very hard to come by. Thanks for the experience guys!!
