They we very kind and helpful nurse's and doctor's. Good healthy food which I was absolutely grateful for. I had a very good experience detoxing. I would recommended staying here for the soul purpose of detoxing.
Accept for the lady that brought up how Aboriginal people suffered the boarding schools and called us all alcoholic's.
Then pointed me out to conform certain thing's that she obviously know nothing about. I'm glad I was able to correct her at times but she obviously had something to prove. That was the only upsetting thing that I went through during my stay.
Renfrew is amazing, all the staff go over and beyond to help. They are caring and understanding. The food is amazing, and the lady who runs the food services deserves praise for her commitment to providing the best she can within the guidelines set by AHS. She is a saint, and so is everyone else there. Anyone who is accepted to detox program at renfrew should be humble and feel blessed to have the opportunity to be cared for, and helped by amazing people.
Anyone who thinks otherwise should open their eye's and consider what these people deal with on a daily basis.
This place saved my life. Nurses are special people and the staff here are no exception. If you need help with a life destroying addiction make the call. Thank you AHS
