Purlieu Modern Bistro

Wonderful warm atmosphere and the food was amazing! Loved the mussels and steamed buns for appetizers, and for the main dish, the chicken and fish were both delicious. Food was perfectly cooked and presentation was outstanding. Can’t wait to return and try the many other items on the menu!

What a great experience! Was able to secure a reservation for a corporate luncheon last week and it was the perfect setting for our staff. Great coffee and atmosphere, the house burger was delicious! The black kale Caesar was also a light and tasty dish, and those wings made with peach sauce what a nice touch. Will be back again for a corporate dinner event soon, looking forward to trying out the pasta dishes.

Amazing experience. It's always impressive when there is thought and creativity put into doing daily features on the menu. You see this at Purlieu on the regular! I've been here a handful of times already and am loving the food! The mussels are so delicious that I've ordered them every time. The Caulini with emulsion plate is outstanding along with the hummus plate. The butcher cut steak entree was so good when I ate at the restaurant, that I had to order it to go the next time. The decor is very classy & elegant, creating a mini gem box out of this cozy location. Excited to eat there for lunch soon too. You have one of Calgary's most talented chef's showcasing his creativity at his own establishment, I highly recommend. Well done.

I came here with my 12 year old son and adult daughter over the weekend. I was so pleased with the food and welcoming atmosphere. Our server Michael was amazing! He's in the list of top 5 best servers I've ever had. The menu was filled with amazing choices, it was tough picking just a few items to try. My son is a bit of a picky eater and he LOVED the chicken wings, steam bun and burger. I had the bucher's cut and my daughter had the ravioli, we were both very happy with our items. It was nice to find a place in the suburbs that offers the same high-quality food you’d get downtown without having to drive downtown. This restaurant is a hidden gem in this city, I'll definitely be going back soon to try some of the other exciting items.

Beautiful restaurant with some of the best food I've ever had! The steam buns and hummus are incredible, you MUST try them!! I love how they've decorated the place, it's very warm and inviting. Great spot for a date night or even a night out with the family, they are really accommodating to everyone.
