  Training with Kevin has been an awesome experience for me. His style of instruction is one of a very skilled practitioner with a beginners mindset. He will push you and guide you through whatever goals you have set for yourself. Very suppertive, challenging and fun at the same time!

  I have been training with Kevin for three and a half years now and I can say that he is an amazing instructor. His lessons are well designed and scaffolded. They are fun but also a great workout. I would highly recommend training at the Calgary Gong Fu Academy.

  During my approximately 13 years of training in martial arts, I have been taught by many instructors. Few of them have had the dedication, passion, and teaching ability that Kevin possesses. He is an extremely talented martial artist, but an even better teacher. His mix of humour, philosophy, and a no nonsense approach to teaching realistic martial arts is simply exceptional. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn self defense, get in better shape, or join a loving community of others pursuing mastery in its many forms.

  I have trained with Kevin Goat for more than 3 years. He is a passionate and knowledable martial artist and has been a great teacher for me. My balance, coordination, endurance, flexibility and skill have all improved since starting to study martial arts with Kevin.

  My kids have always enjoyed instructor Kevin's teachings. They have said they especially enjoyed his sense of humour and the challenge that he presented to them in class. For me as his student, he has built upon my confidence and focus and given me the desire to continue my martial arts journey.
