I'm purposely writing this review because I read the other reviews and find a lot of them unfounded after my first visit to the clinic today. To people complaining that they didn't know they weren't supposed to take antihistamines for a week prior to their appointment it is literally the first thing listed in the patient instructions i was emailed and told to read BEFORE I came in. To people complaining that they didn't know the location of the clinic, I was emailed the address AND A SCREENSHOT of the clinic's location on google maps, what else do you need?
I spoke to the receptionist more than once on the phone, i was even a little difficult to find an appointment slot for because of my busy schedule, and she was nothing but pleasant about finding a time that worked for me. Dr. Serushago was professional, but above all else he was kind. My allergy tests didn't explain my symptoms but Dr. Serushago still spent time consulting with me on the next steps towards a diagnosis and even things I can do myself to manage my symptoms.
I was quite nervous for my appointment yesterday after reading all the reviews.
However I found Dr. Bazir very helpful (caring and confident* of his work). His medical assistant spent sufficient time to take history, pulled my previous reports (blood work) and conducted allergy testing professionally, explaining each step, listening patiently and answering my questions. Receptionist (Rita) was professional in her approach (I understood each word she said).
Facility (waiting, parking etc.) all met my expectations.
So why previous reviews were mostly negative? Because patients who have positive experience rarely provide reviews; and a 'good' experience is expected.
Hence I took time to write this review of the services I received.
Keep it up, team Dr. Bazir Serushago!
(* - I was tested for allergies 6-7 years back and advised to stay away from peanuts. I carried epipen (waste of money), stayed away from peanuts (I always enjoyed peanut products) and always worried/stressed that I should/could not eat peanuts by mistake. Dr. Bazir reviewed previous reports and allergy tested; clinical assessment - clears me for peanut allergy; what a big relief !!)
Doctor is very knowledgeable and takes his time. Him and his staff are great with kids. The new location is recently built and modern. Well worth the wait
