(May 28, 2019, 9:46 pm)I really only gave this Safeway 3 stars today, simply because of how I was treated by the cashier. If not for her being as pleasant and friendly with me today, I would be hard pressed to give this store more than 1 star. And that's really a shame, because it has the potential for so much more. But it seems that management (whether at the store level, or on a higher, corporate level) just don't care about this store or it's customers. The prices are high and the quality is low and far too often they don't have the one thing you've gone into the store to get. The quality of the produce is mediocre, as is the quality of the meat. And sadly, the store's footprint just isn't large enough to carry the variety of brands you'd find in a larger store. It's a shame, because this location has the potential to be a MUCH better store if Safeway cared enough about it. I'm quite sure that it just isn't large enough for them to care enough to do anything to improve it.

(May 14, 2019, 9:27 pm)This Safeway is a nice one if you need fresh produce and/or meat for a good meal. The staff have always been friendly everytime I've been by and it is a well maintained, decent little store imo.
There are self checkouts too, which is nice if you only need a couple things. I would return here for my daily groceries.
The only complaint I have is that:
I was here the other day when my friend got a fresh deli sandwich made for him - halfway through his meal he discovered a bread clip in his sandwich by biting right into it... That was unpleasant. Please just be aware. -

(March 30, 2019, 4:53 am)I love this Safeway. Its older and the selection is smaller than most grocery stores but I kinda like that. It makes shopping easier and more efficient. The best part is the staff. I have never had a bad experience with the staff here, super friendly and always willing to help. They deserve your business.

Great for picking up last minute items that you may need or to do a quick restocking trip but this location is on the smaller side and sometimes I can't find some items that are carried in other locations such as the downtown one. I find that their vegan selection here isn't as good as downtown or the Bridgeland location.

(February 26, 2019, 7:00 am)I recently moved out of the Mission area, but I'm still using this specific Safeway pharmacy because they have been so helpful, personable, considerate, and gone above and beyond with their services. They care about their clients and provide thoughtful advice, and do their best to problem solve, and find solutions. I couldn't possibly switch pharmacies now. Also, it isn't just one staff member that is awesome, it is all of them, and I'm grateful. It seems like such a wonderful team.
