    I have always been into fitness and maintaining a good sense of balance but I never quite knew the extent in which balance played such a huge role in our day to day lives. When I first was introduced to Fitter back in 2010 I was amazed at how innovative the idea of sit stand desks were, the concept of being able to stand OR sit while working was mind blowing to say the least!!! As a growing youth in society I was always restricted at my jobs to sitting for 8+ hours or standing in a 2X2 square for 8+ hours, both majorly sucked!!! It drained my energy, wore out my body and decreased my attention span considerably. In my mind, Fitterfirst was bring the future of work to Canada!

    I also had a huge passion for sharing this pot of gold I had found with the world! I am excited each and everyday to get to work and CHOOSE to sit OR stand, depending on what I know will be best for my body.

    I have seen this company donate a wide range of products to non for profit sports associations, low income rehabilitation centres and schools for children with developmental learning impairments all in the hopes of providing a fun, interactive approach to balance training and fitness for everyone of all ages, fitness abilities and financial abilities.

    Considering my entire experience with Fitterfirst my option would not be changed if I had never had the opportunity to work for this outstanding company that has made me feel like a valued part of the Fitter Family.

    Beyond what they do as a company, they as people are compassionate, caring and understanding to all the obstacles life can through our way, I have never felt more confident or secure in any position as I do at Fitter because I know with honesty will always come respect. They have opened doors for me I never thought imaginable and given me so many opportunities to grow as a person, as an event planner and as a fitness lover.

    UPDATE: Fitter First has redeemed themselves. They welcomed back the ball by sending me a prepaid shipping ticket and gave me a full refund for the ball + the original shipping charge. As they mentioned, I should have been contacted prior to the shipment to ensure that I wanted half shipped now and the other half shipped at a later date. This would have saved so much frustration, on both ends. Thank you for honoring the refund in full. Next time, I will ask someone in Calgary to come into the store to pickup product rather than ordering online.

    Suggestion for the Management of the website, a popup that informs consumers that items are on back order would be very helpful. At that time, the customer can choose to proceed with order or change their mind. The spot you have noted an item on back order is seriously too small of print.

    Original Post: Fitter First has failed at customer service. The website has a very very small print saying that an item is 'back order'. Because I did not know that I needed to look for this, I proceeded with the order and paid for all of it ($145) +$15 shipping... only to find out that the frame is not coming anytime soon. If I want a refund for the useless ball that I don't need without the frame, I can pay an additional fee to ship it back to them... so I'll be out $50 for no product from Fitter First. Overly frustrating and terrible customer service.

    I've been using my Vari Desk for a couple months now, and couldn't be happier! I have a two-tiered model and there's plenty of room for my double monitor set up, with lots a space for a water bottle, speakers, etc. The keyboard tray is great and my mouse (gaming style corded mouse) works perfectly on the surface without a mouse pad. The various heights allows me to be standing on my active board or on the floor with the greatest comfort...plus when I'm feeling lazy or need to sit back and digest my lunch, it's very easy and convenient to sit back down and still have a comfortable desk experience.

    I highly recommend Vari Desk and Fitter First if you're wanting a better desk and ultimately a better work experience.

    P.S. The customer service was amazing! Top notch, lovely people to deal with, and always left Fitter First with a smile on my face.

    Anytime I walk in there is always someone around to help and if they don't have the answers they are diligent in finding someone who does. I love my yoga mat and my fitter mat that I stand on to do dishes is so much more comfortable and my back doesn't start to hurt! Thanks again Fitter!!
