We recently went on a much needed week long vacation, needing to find a place for our paraplegic pup to stay. Better Than Home was willing and able to help make his first time ever away from us a success! They were very patient with all my concerns and questions, and with updating me on how things were going.

We had a happy and healthy pup on our return, he’d had a great time making friends and was well cared for. Since he’s been back home, he’s appeared more confident and we joyfully find he is barking less at the neighbours and their dogs, as well as showing more interest and does less fear barking towards people who come over and other dogs he sees walk by the house. He’s even gone from trying to chase down our cats to happily allowing them to relax in the same room as him.

Because of the effects of what was obvious positive socialization at this kennel for our heavily disabled and isolated former street dog, we plan to continue with regular stays here. I can’t thank Better Than Home enough for giving us this gift, it had previously been 3 years since my husband and i had been able to take time away together. the ability to do so and not worry is invaluable.

Our pup loves the kennel. She gets so much exercise and play time while there. The staff are amazing and it shows how much they love dogs. Very large kennels, large fended in area for playtime and a cuddle tv room.

My boy Rocky, love this place, sent him a few times as he’s a sensitive boy. Staff is always fantastic, and extremely organized. He has a blast !!!

Better Than Home is the only kennel we will trust to care for our Barkley and Kip. They are also the only kennel we have ever felt comfortable to use. We did a tour before leaving our dogs in their capable hands and were so impressed with the amount of space both inside and out for the dogs. The kennels are big enough to accommodate both our dogs (one large the other medium sized) in one kennel so they can sleep together. The outdoor space is very large and very clean. As nervous pet owners, staff returned all my emails when I requested updates and really put my mind at ease. Barkley and Kip are so excited and happy when we pull up in front of Better Than Home- a true sign that they are happy and cared for while there. I would recommend this kennel to anyone.
