We were hoping to plan an incredible, once in a life-time honeymoon experience, and really wanted that to be in Africa! Given that we've never been there before and were quite anxious in planning a trip there, we had asked Ned for her help in planning it!

The trip itself was AMAZINGGG. More than anything we’ve ever expected!!!! We saw tons and tons and tons of animals. We saw an amazing pride of 15 lions who walked alongside us for over 2km. We even caught the tail end of the wildebeest migration!!!! And that migration was on our bucket list for sure. The hot air balloon ride was a flight of a lifetime - overlooking the beautiful Serengeti, with an amazing champagne breakfast. From day 1 to the end we were so well taken care of. Our safari driver was wonderful, he helped us get amazing pictures of the animals at all the right angles and lighting. He was knowledgeable and sincere. The lodges were fantastic. We had great views at every lodge, amazing food, and very hospitable staff. The views of all of Tanzania was incredible. There is sooo much endless nature that stretches beyond the horizons. Definitely sites we can’t appreciate here in Canada to that degree. Our excitement only grew with each passing day! And each day surprised even more than the last and I didn’t think that was possible! I honestly can’t get over it. It was the perfect length of time to spend in Africa, and ending in Zanzibar was a great way to unwind. The trip was romantic, personalized, and an all around perfect honeymoon trip. We have shown our friends and family our photos and they are all planning a trip to Africa soon now too!

Honestly working with Ned has been an incredible and easy process from start to finish. We can’t thank her enough for helping plan this getaway. We are sooo appreciative of her knowledge, expertise, patience with all our questions (haha), and all of her personal advice (stemmed from her own previous experience with the safari)! She has helped us plan a trip that was beyond our expectations, 100% perfect, and ensured a smooth and safe vacation. She helped us with all the finer details too - like insurance, vaccinations, and packing as well (with very useful tips that we wouldn't have found anywhere else on the internet). We 100% recommend her to all of our family and friends who are planning more vacations!

I usually book my own travel, I never saw the need to go through a travel agency. I booked a 9 day trip to Africa to do the gorilla trek in Rwanda (amazing!), and thought that this type of trip was a bit beyond my capabilities. A friend recommended that I book through The Travel Desk, and I am so glad I did. I had excellent service from start to finish! I always had quick responses to all of my questions. My agent Ned was outstanding! She has traveled to 57+ countries and her passion for travel was infectious. She listened to all my wants and what my budget was, and came up with an itinerary that met all my needs and then some. Her expertise with visas, vaccinations, accommodations and currency issues put me at ease for all of my logistical questions and safety concerns.

Even though The Travel Desk is in another province, it did not seem to matter. After a few phone calls, most of our communication was via email which made responses fast and the planning efficient. It allowed me to do a bit of research before actually committing to booking each activity, but all of her suggestions were fantastic, she gave me activity options I would have never though possible if I booked on my own. The first part of my trip took us to Uganda, which I had no previous desire to visit, but fell in love with the country and it's people. It was a very enriching experience that I would have never had if not for Ned. (chimpanzee trek in Uganda, white water rafting on The Nile...so amazing!!) I would highly recommend booking with them for all your travel needs, I can't wait until my next exotic vacation.
