  Great hill for tobogganing. Steep and had some places to get air. Lots of exercise climbing to the top or close to it.

  This is a great little chunk of Green space along the river's edge in Edmonton. I always take my 2 min pins here for good walks and they enjoy both the people and the greenery that's around. I have always enjoyed my time here though during the evening hours it is a bit hard to find parking. Even with the parking being a bit of an issue I will always come here as weather allows for walks.

  Really great place with an amazing view, picnic location, attractive things to see and more especial good toboggan area too. It is a calm place for walking, biking or jogging.

  A large group of my friends congregate here every Victoria Day for our traditional picnic/BBQ. Lots of space and a beautiful shade tree on the northwest corner of the park perfect for climbing and sitting and photography. Cooking stoves provided to heat up a meal but you must bring your own wood or charcoal (no solid fuels during fire bans!). Will continue to picnic here into the future.

Government House Park :: City of Edmonton

Government House Park is located on the north bank of the river, adjacent to Groat Road. Although no specific date is mentioned in the City Archives, it appears the park was in existence during the early 1960s and included a ski and toboggan hill.
