(July 29, 2018, 1:14 am)It was our first time to Xu Hue, located in the heart of Chinatown. We heard a lot of good things about this Vietnamese restaurant. There are many dishes that are not found at your typical pho restaurant. There are some very authentic items that are only found in Vietnamese homes. We ordered bot chien (fried rice cake with egg), bang xeo (Vietnamese crepe), pho, chao vit (duck congee) and chao vit thanh do (duck salad). The bot chien, chao vit and chao vit thanh do was unbelievable! I haven't had it years and couldn't believe it was available again in Edmonton. If you are tired of pho and are looking for something different with Vietnamese cuisine, definitely give Xu Hue a try.

Soup base is best in China town, much much less MSG. One can taste the sweetness in the soup but not the saltines and bitterness with MSG.
Oh, there are two huge fish tanks with many fishes for decoration.
