Great program and amazing staff. I would definitely recommend this preschool to other people who are looking for a program that will stimulate their child's mind and give them lots of opportunity to be physically active as well.
My daughter was in west end Montessori from just 3 to the time she went to kindergarden at 6 years old. Our younger daughter also joined her for one year. We loved our time there. We felt they learned a significant amount. They were constantly challenged and brought home so many projects and crafts. We loved how they did units that they picked and voted on themselves and the kids were educated on a daily basis through play. Monica has always had a very great grasp on Child development and education. She has provided me great parenting advice on several occasions. Ms Crystal was very attentive and so wonderful with our girls. They really enjoyed her calming and kind presence. This school was a great preschool experience for us.
Our daughter has been attending this school for a year now, and if we could afford to have her there for the full day we would!! I love that the owner is very accommodating and the teachers are flexible. Whenever something needs to be switched or looked at, they are very willing to help me out if they can.
The teachers are such a joy to have in the classroom. They are patient, funny and very understanding. My daughter is learning something new everyday and always bringing home great art projects or drawings that she's done. I love that she is learning without even realizing that she's learning.
I would recommend this Montessori over any other ones we looked at. It has the best feel, the best programming and great people. Our younger daughter will definitely be starting here in the summer.
This full day preschool is a rare find in Edmonton. The owner, Monica, takes the time to get to know the parents and child. The instructors are wonderful people who treat our child with respect and kindness. I am amazed how my daughter's vocabulary has exploded in the year since she joined this preschool. Their program has dramatically expanded her knowledge of the world around her. I feel she is getting a good start in her education. She is very happy at West End Montessori. I highly recommend their program.
My daughter attended the program for 2 years. She loved the program and her teachers. I was thrilled to have her in a structured environment where she could still have fun but things were calm and chaos free.
The daily schedule is organized so children know what is coming next and the expectations within the classroom. Teachers show an exceptional level of care with the interactions I have witnessed at events like the semi-annual concerts. I love getting feedback with progress reports as well. Highly recommend to all!
