  My first guitar teacher although he's easy to understand with explaining on how the techniques work. You can tell he has played for about 30 years. I'm comfortable being around Billy because he's patient and kind. You can tell his character is gentle-hearted. He wants you to grow in expanding your knowledge in playing the guitar. I highly recommend this guy. I notice a big difference after just one month with Billy. Billy knows what he's doing because of course he played for 30 years. He's a phenomenal guitarists and he's not just some guy who says he's good and can't show his results. No, you know he's good when you see him. One thing that stood out to me the most is when I forgot to pay Billy for one hour. He wasn't focused on me paying him and because of that. I felt bad because I didn't mean to forget to pay him. He never once asked me to pay him up. Of course I payed him back the next following week. What I'm trying to say is that he never asks you to pay him before he goes on playing. He trusts that you will pay him after the lesson and I like that about him. You almost feel like he is your friend because of trust. He's just a great guy doing what he loves and that's helping others becoming professional guitarists like him.

  I took lessons with Billy for 6 months as a beginner/intermediate. Billy was able to teach any style that I requested while showing me the techniques I needed to get playing right away. I would recommend this instructor.

  Working with Billy has been a treat. I have been taking weekly lessons for about 4 years now and I plan to continue. I have learned so much from Billy but every week I find there is so much more yet to learn. Who knew the guitar was such a complex instrument. Billy is easy to get along with and let's me learn at my own pace. As a person who took the guitar up later in life I appreciate the ability to learn at my own pace and not feel pressured to learn quickly. Billy is a gifted player and it always amazes me how he knows what key a song is in after listening to it for less than a minute. I also like the theory behind the music and Billy knows all of that as well. I highly recommend him as a guitar teacher. We have also become good friends and have done some golfing together over the years. We enjoy talking sports and about fishing. Maybe one day I will learn to spell his last name properly. (LOL)

  Billy instructed my 2 sons in guitar lessons almost every week for almost 7 years! He started coming to our house in Ardrossan in the fall of 2009. He feels like family to us! He is a wonderful instructor that is very kind, patient, supportive, flexible and resourceful. He fits the lesson to the interest of the student which was key to success when the boys were young. He let them choose the genre of music they wanted to play and instructed them accordingly. It was always a positive experience and as soon as he left the boys would practice and look forward to Billy's return!
  The boy's were involved with many extra curricular sporting activities so the mobile guitar service fit well into our family schedule. He has enhanced our lives through the power of music!

  Billy taught my daughter for six years, starting when she was 10. He is always welcoming and accommodating, making the lessons interesting and fun for her while allowing her to progress at her own pace and keeping her involved and interested as she aged and changed her tastes. She always looked forward to a lesson. He is a good-natured guy who is friendly and easy-going. He is an excellent teacher from whom she learned a lot.
