  u dont have to worry about getting suspended or eating a timbit in class because where i go i get suspeded for eating

  After being kicked out from Johnny Bright School when it was overpopulated, Vernon Barford (despite not being in the area) welcomed all students with open arms. I don't regret one bit going to Vernon Barford instead of the recommended DS Mackenzie.
  
  The people there were really great, I was introduced and talked to by people on day one and really made me feel like more of a seamless transition into a new school. Numerous people I met in the first month I'm still very good friends with now.
  
  The teachers were pretty good. While there were some good ones (Mr. Beatty, Mr. Adair) and bad ones (Mrs. Kutryk, drop her ASAP if you get her), majority of them were there to advance your education to the fullest.
  
  The high ups of the school were also pretty reasonable as well. Mr. Pease was a respectable Principal and Mr. Candler as VP was one of my favourite adults to talk to in the school and got me through an incident I got in trouble with early in Grade 8. They're also pretty hands off as well, and realize they only need to intervene in serious stuff like bullying while practical, consenting jokes on others that perhaps went a little too far and other things where a lesson can be learned from a mistake were used as learning opportunities instead of punishments. Myself included, when an incident arose, teachers would teach right vs. wrong over punishing them by going to the office.
  
  I've graduated high school now and I have to say Grade 9 will most likely be one of the best years of my life thanks to this school. If you are a parent reading this, I 100% recommend you enroll your children in Vernon Barford if the opportunity presents itself. There is a mix of academic challenge, athletic and art opportunities, and a respectful environment all students can thrive outside of the classroom in.

  An average school. Teachers are pretty good but the classes and hallways are overcrowded to the extent that some classes are outside the school in pods. There is no cafeteria so lunch time is spend either in the hallway or outside. The school building is average.

  Fantastic teachers, the school also provides a wide variety of course options for students. Overall, a great place for education.
