(August 4, 2020, 2:56 am)A 100 m walk takes you to a paddling lake within 40 minutes of the east side of Edmonton. Quite slimy with blue-green algae, and the thought of falling in is not particularly appealing.
Numerous pelicans, grebes, and a few ducks.
In general, worth the effort for a few hours paddling, but nothing earth-shattering. -

(July 27, 2020, 3:32 am)Such a nice natural lake with enough bends, islets (duh:), coves, etc. to make the paddling interesting. When bringing up your kayaks, be sure to check for leeches though. There was no shortage of these medieval cure-alls hitching a ride on the bottom of our kayaks.
