We had the immense pleasure of participating in the introductory family course with Shannon and her team of teachers this past August.
Our teacher for the day was Jet, and what a teacher he was. He challenged us to work together as a team to complete various tasks, and to communicate clearly to each other what was needed to get to our goals.
He also let us know when we were doubting ourselves, or second guessing our approach. I can’t tell you how horses intuition works, but I can tell you that it’s very real and very accurate.
Shannon was also an amazing (and patient) teacher, although she’ll tell you she’s simply the facilitator. Her ability to read her students and horses was seconded only by her ability to relate the lessons learnt to all aspects of life, be it work, school or relationships.
There were many important and meaningful lessons learnt that day, all under the guise of a fun day with family making happy memories to last a lifetime.
I have no doubt that these programs can be truly life changing, and we can’t wait to get back for the next round.
